Concert!

Tomorrow we drive to Denver for the Jeremy Camp and The Afters concert!!!! We are so stoked! We were also supposed to go snowboarding, but Rob's recon trip to Iraq got pushed back to Sunday morning, so we are just going to chill the rest of the weekend. I'm SO bummed he's leaving me for 10 days!! :(

the boys and i had a ROUGH night..and we are all sick with the crud.... i feel like i was in a carwreck!! wish my hubby was home to make us feel better :(

glad he comes home tomorrow night!!

Phoenix Weekend!

rob, the boys, and i flew to phoenix this weekend..it was such a blast in such a short time! wish we could have stayed longer to hangout with family!!! rob ran the pf changs half marathon with some of his family and a group from his old church. it was such a gorgeous day for a marathon..and with 50,000 people im glad it was... i was only a teeny bit jealous not to be apart of it (ok, a lot) lol... since im nursing..a half marathon is out of the question. :)


now that we are home, robs in the field for a week so i get to play single mom, and the boys are sick with some nasty crud!! my poor babies!

im planning a fun weekend for robs birthday... hope his boss wont mind! :)

Rei in cloth

with gavin...its so easy to have him in cloth...hes in cloth 24/7....so you would think i could make the switch in reilly, my 18month old. only thing is....rei is not ebf ..so his dirties scare me LOL...but yay i have had rei constantly in cloth for 2 days now...only problem is..ive run out of diapers that fit him!!! just means i get to buy more cute fluff :)

thanks to my sweet husband for making me a diaper sprayer to make it so much easier to cloth diaper! :)

i heart cloth diapers

its really an awesome thing. wish more people were into it... can you imagine what a cleaner planet wed have if disposables didnt exist? crazy huh.


i washed all my stash yesterday just for a fresh start when we got home from monarch. so both boys are enjoying their soft fluffy bums lol.

Gavins eyes

Went to his appt today... his left eye tends to go outwards called a 'wandering eye'. he also has clogged tear ducts in both eyes. the doctor is hoping both will clear up by the time we go back in 8 weeks. it was so weird sitting in the chair holding gavin as they dialate his eyes and examine them. but she definitely saw the wandering eye. I even brought my camera to show pictures of what i was talking about in case she didnt see it... but no need for it..she saw it right away. we go back on march 8th, so pray his eye muscles are stronger and his tear ducts will finally become unclogged :)

Life without technology

actually wasnt that bad!!! we went up to salida, co to spend the weekend snowboarding at monarch..well we had ZERO cell signal and ZERO wifi...thought i would die without the internet or zero texting with my sister!! LOL i made it though..the mountains were GORGEOUS and well i just LOVE my life. colorado is the best place to live!! besides a hard fall where i hit my head enough to feel the black out coming on ..it was a GREAT trip! (thanks to my husband who forced me into buying a helment a few days earlier.... i can just imagine what a knock that would have been without one!!)

Next weekend we head to phoenix for the marathon ..cant wait!! :)

3 Months Old!!

I hate how fast my babies grow!! Gavin is now 3 months old, and Reilly is now 18 months!!! I love watching them grow and learn...but does it have to go by so fast?!

I am SO stinkin surprised how much I LOVED our raw goats milk sample!! I can't wait to visit the ranch soon! I'm definitely putting our name down for delivery and switching...I cant wait to soak up all the nutrients and vitamins RAW milk has to offer! (and i know some of you, think..'unpasteurized???! EW! you will get sick!') before you comment or rather, think that..please do your research FIRST, then come up with a true, honest, opinion!) :)

Life as a Single Mom

Well this week I am getting great pratice for when Rob leaves in March. His job is so tough, and he wakes to leave at 430am and is home between 8 and 9 pm. So I am trying to make it my "practice" for March. It's easier to think that he is gone now, so that I can get re-adjusted back to life as a single mom, but this round it will be with TWO babies and ZERO family around. I can do it. I will just be so lonely once again for my husband. I might not see much sun this year...but it will be easy as pie ;) so I keep telling myself anyways. His job will be harder..being in a warzone and completely away from watching his children grow and missing out on milestones and raising them. My heart would break to be away from my babies. How it saddens me to think he must go through this a FOURTH time. I love my husband, and I am so greatly proud of him. My family IS my heart.

On another note. Gavin is 3 months old today! He has started batting at toys, can roll to one side (specifically his right side), and is starting to enjoy splashing in the bath. It is such fun to watch a baby learn his surroundings. He smiles if I just look at him. Reilly is such a fantastic big brother...he loves to dangle toys over him and trys to cover him up with blankets and tries to put a hat on him..its so cute to watch them! I am SOOO blessed to be a stay at home mom, to be the person that raises my own children. I hope I dont screw it up!
Well, with January and the new year, it brings a new semester of school..I am only taking 2 classes this time around, with Rob leaving, I want to make sure I can handle it.

I try to cram all my errands into one or 2 days..being its a lot to pack up the kids to go out..with breastfeeding gavin..changing diapers...working with rei's naps.. the snow..etc..whew.. So tomorrow will be errand day.
I have to go to the DMV once AGAIN to try and get a Colorado license. I also have to go to Back to the Basics, to pick up our raw goat's milk. Its just a sample..and Im afraid I will hate it.. but I know the benefits would so greatly appreciated! If I do end up gagging over it (LOL) ..Next Ill try the raw cows milk..but Id much rather stick with the goats. I also need to run by the post office as well... we will see if that happens! :)

What a LOOONG day

just your usual humdrum kind of day. But it sure seemed LONG. Rob went back to work today and UGH he leaves the house somewhere between 430 and 6..then gets home between 7-9. i miss him. these last 2 weeks have been incredible for us. we were like we used to be..joined at the hip.. i miss my best friend hanging out 24/7 but at least we had the 2 weeks before he starts getting geared up to redeploy in 11 weeks. how am i to go through that again? the lonliness will be so hard. not to mention your scared of getting a knock at your door. one day at time.
